About Us

United Way Comal and Guadalupe Counties

The United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties envisions a community where all individuals and families thrive. Our mission is to engage the community and focus resources for those in need in Comal and Guadalupe Counties. Since 2008, this United Way has awarded over $11,873,826 to support more than 250 programs that include feeding the hungry, providing safety to those in danger, furnishing educational and fitness programs for our youth and elderly, and keeping the lights on for those in crisis.

The United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties envisions a community where all individuals and families succeed.

The United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties embraces the diversity of those it serves and those who serve it, to more effectively address the issues impacting our communities.

• Health and Healing: Build healthier communities by supporting programs focused on the physical and mental well-being of our community.

• Family and Seniors: Help families and senior citizens receive the resources they need by supporting programs that care for their health, wellness and social needs.

• Youth: Ensure our youth are engaged and stay on track to earn a high school diploma by supporting programs promoting risk reduction, mentorship and guidance.

• Meeting Emergency Needs: Ensure the basic needs of our community are met by supporting programs that provide access to food, shelter, healthcare, medical assistance, counseling and crisis support.

Thanks to all our supporters during the campaign year. United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties continues to achieve much success with the help of our donors and many dedicated people working every day to make a difference in people’s lives. Our purpose is many fold, we work to assess on a continuing basis the need for human service programs, work to develop financial resources, and deploy financial support. Within that scope, we achieve to muster community support and manage United Way resources as effectively as possible in a cost-efficient manner.
