United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties
2026-2027
United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties currently funds the health and human services agencies and initiatives listed below.
United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties Board of Directors and community volunteers donate their time each year to review funding applications from nonprofits throughout Comal and Guadalupe County. These volunteers give their time and talent to review the applications in great detail, review financial records, interview staff, board members, and clients when appropriate. From July 1, 2065 through June 30, 2027, UWCC will be funding 30 programs run by 29 agencies.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council, Inc.
Boy Scouts of America prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre
The Brauntex Performing Arts Association adds value to the community of New Braunfels and surrounding area by providing a platform for a variety of arts and entertainment and by advocating for the cultivation of heritage, education and culture.
Bulverde Senior Center
Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center facilitates active aging and enhances the quality of life for older adults in our communities.
CASA of Central Texas, Inc.
CASA of Central Texas advocates for children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect. Highly trained CASA volunteers are empowered as voices in the courts, in schools, and in the child welfare system to ensure representation of the child’s best interests.
CACCC
The CACCC is a neutral, child-friendly agency that facilitates a multidisciplinary approach in the prevention, detection, investigation, and treatment of child abuse.
Comal County Child Welfare Board, Inc.
Comal County Child Welfare Board supports the victims of abuse and neglect, provides for the needs of Comal County children in Child Protective Service’s care and educates the community regarding these issues.

The Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation’s Mission is to “Enrich the Lives of Aging Adults”.

Communities in Schools surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

CRRC serves the residents of the Canyon Lake area by providing vital social service resources as well as life-enriching recreational and educational opportunities.
Connections Individual and Family Services, Inc.
Connections Individual and Family Services, Inc. strengthens communities, one youth and one family at a time. Our tag line is: “Empowering Youth. Connecting Families. Building Futures.”
Crisis Center of Comal County
Our mission is to provide crisis and prevention services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and homeless individuals. The agency provides a safe environment where an individual can make educated, non-biased decisions about their future.
Family Life Center
The mission of the Family Life Center is to connect temporarily under-resourced and/or unemployed residents of our community to the vast network of churches, charities, agencies, service organizations and corporate sponsors that provide programs that will enable those residents to become self-sufficient productive members of our community.

The Club will provide food and gifts to food insecure families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Families are identified with the assistance of Comal county school district’s nursing and administrative personnel.

NB Housing Partners
NB Housing Partners advocates for and provides supportive housing in the New Braunfels area for people experiencing housing instability. We act as a catalyst to create sustainable solutions across the affordable housing spectrum. The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Deadline to submit your final application is Sunday, January 31, 2027. You do not have to complete all forms in one session but be sure to click “Save” to keep anything you have entered. When ready, please “submit” the Application. Again this year we will schedule a mandatory on-site visit to your organization during the weeks of March 4th thru April 15th, 2027.
UWCGTX board members and volunteers are expected to attend to review your packet and answer questions. Follow-up meetings may be scheduled, as needed. Final allocation decisions are expected to be rendered on or around May 1st. Thank you for all you do in Comal and Guadalupe Counties.
