Gruene Music and Wine Fest supports United Way, Will You?

This week marks the 40th Anniversary of the Gruene Music and Wine Festival in New Braunfels – an iconic four days of live music, wine and craft-beer tasting, boot-scooting, and fun in and around historic Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas.

For 40 years proceeds from this event have supported United Way, a nonprofit organization that provides funding, crisis response, and guidance to dozens of local charities annually.

The generosity of the folks in Gruene and so many others across decades reflect a confidence in the ethics and efficacy of United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties that we never take for granted.

Jenna Vinson, Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the City of New Braunfels, is currently president of the board of UWCGC.

“As volunteer board president, I have an up-close view of United Way – of the nuts and bolts of the organization. More than ever, I feel both confident and proud of the work we do, of the organization’s high ethics and effectiveness. Funding from United Way is targeted at charities with provable results; whose work helps those most in need. The funds raised at Gruene Music and Wine Fest and from individual and corporate donors are vital to our mission.”
